Sean Ulmer, CA – President
Sean Ulmer joined the Bidelltm team in 2010, having been involved in the natural gas compression industry since 1999. Previously, Mr. Ulmer spent eight years with Enerflex Systems Ltd. and its predecessor companies. He held various roles there including Vice President, Production Services where he was responsible for their global rental fleet and North American mechanical service divisions. He also held senior management positions overseeing their low horsepower compression business. Mr. Ulmer has also held various accounting and corporate finance positions including most recently as an Associate Partner in the Transaction Services department of a multi-national accounting firm. Mr. Ulmer holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator.
Mat Clark, CET – Vice President, Sales & Applications
Mat Clark joined Bidell™ in 2003 and has worked in the oil and gas industry since 1994. Mr. Clark has developed a broad background in the natural gas compression industry that includes field service, leasing fleet coordination, project management and sales. Prior to joining Bidell™, Mr. Clark held several positions at a compression company managing their lease fleet of gas compression and process equipment, leading into a direct sales role. Previously, Mr. Clark worked at an engineering firm in a project management role. Mr. Clark is a graduate of the Petroleum Engineering Technology program at SAIT.
George Kobsar – Vice President, Parts & Service
George Kobsar joined Bidell™ in 2010 and has been in the natural gas compression industry since 1997. Mr. Kobsar started with Pamco/Enerflex, holding roles of increasing responsibility throughout his career including Partsman, Branch Parts Manager, Warehouse Manager at the Enerflex central facility and ultimately the overall General Parts Manager role. Prior to taking on the General Parts Manager role, Mr. Kobsar was the Branch Manager for Toromont Industries in the Lloydminster area and he also spent some time with Husky Energy as their Mechanical Maintenance Planner in the Lloydminster area. Mr. Kobsar has his Parts Journeyman certificate.
Dan Martin – Vice President, Manufacturing, USA Division
Dan Martin joined Bidell™ in June 2012 as Production Manager and was promoted to Vice President, Manufacturing of Bidell’s Canadian operations in November, 2013. In January 2017, Mr. Martin transferred to West Virginia to head and start Bidell’s US manufacturing business. Mr. Martin has been in the natural gas compression industry since 1981 when he began his career with Barber Industries Limited in the field of instrumentation. Over the past 30 years, Mr. Martin has worked for Cherco Compressors; Weatherford Compression; Universal Compression as well as Crown Energy and Enerflex. Mr. Martin’s vast knowledge of the natural gas industry is a combination of experience working on both domestic and international projects as well as extensive training and study of leadership; change management; master scheduling and lean manufacturing. Mr. Martin’s passion is manufacturing efficiency through strong leadership, quality, scheduling systems and manufacturing best practices.
Gana Murthy, P.Eng, MBA – Vice President, Manufacturing, Canadian Division
Gana Murthy joined Bidell™ in January, 2014 as Engineering Manager and was promoted to Vice President, Manufacturing of Bidell’s Canadian operations in January, 2017. Prior to joining Bidell, Mr. Murthy was Director of Engineering for Exterran Water Solutions and prior to that had spent a number of years with Sulzer Chemtech ltd. holding progressively more senior positions with Sulzer globally. Mr. Murthy was the General Manager for Sulzer Chemtech Canada division overseeing the entire Canadian operation. Mr. Murthy holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) degree, is a P. Eng in Alberta, has obtained his MBA and also is a registered RPEQ for the state of Queensland, Australia. Mr. Murthy brings an extensive knowledge of all aspects of engineering and manufacturing to Bidell with a focus on quality and cost leadership.
